Benjamin Bio is a young contemporary Artist and a painter: In today's World of diverse identity, Benjamin sees space(s) and environment(s) as forces that shaped/nurtured individuals which serves as inspiration for his works.
His art largely results from experimentation through his exploitation and interrogation about spaces and environments as a sacred site that can be reflected through individuals or the individuals reflecting through them.
Growing up with siblings who he started his career with but stopped at some point didn't killed his passion, he still continued his practice and sees himself as one of the most passionate Artist born to Ghanaian parents. Starting with hyper realism as one of today's phenomenon, department of painting and sculpture nurtured him despite having diverse ideologies.
Painting with pigments extracted from collected organic materials from various spaces/environments with charcoal on papers, canvases and other materials, Benjamin's use of the pigments reveal the differences of time in these spaces through his processes and how these differences reflects through his figures to push the boundaries of identity by questioning what identity really means using actual materials from site and how theyΒ coexist with with time in history. Benjamin's use of charcoals in his drawings reveal the intricate sense of connectivity of his figures with the spaces they live and his connection to art as hyper realist at some point.
